All About Jake

If you happen to be in Las Vegas next week, look me up.  I’ll be staying at the Venitian’s Palazzo in a Concierge Suite (pictured).  When work’s done for the day, you might find me in the Concerge Lounge for open bar, or more likely at a craps table somewhere.  This is my first trip to Vegas, and I’m looking forward to it.  I’ll be sure to post more next week.

I’ve had good luck with refurbished consumer electronics.  This time, I guess my luck ran out.  I bought this 32″ LCD for my kitchen wall.  It works great… for about a minute or two.  After it heats up, the picture goes funny.  Oh well.  Guess this one’s going back.

For the record, its a 32″ Westinghouse LCD, refurbished from Woot.com.  At the time of writing, I haven’t heard back from Woot on how they’ll remedy the situation.

I think Biden looks better this way-- but I'd rather the TV work.
